Revelation 20
An angel locked Satan, the dragon, in the bottomless pit for one thousand year.
The Devil was not able to deceive the nations for one thousand years.
After the thousand years, he must be released for a little while.
The souls who were beheaded for the witness of Jesus and the word of God lived and reigned with Christ for a thousand years.
This is the first resurrection.
Satan is released after the thousand years.
Satan plans an attack but it thrown into the bottomless pit to be tormented day and night forever and ever.
John then saw a white throne of judgment.
He saw God judging all, those in heaven and in hell, according to their works.

There is a new heaven and new earth for the first ones have passed away.
“Then He who sat on the throne said, ‘Behold, I make all things new.’”
One of the angels who had a golden bowl with one of the last plagues tells John he will show him the bride, the Lamb’s wife.
John saw the holy Jerusalem descending to the earth from God.
There were twelve gates, one each for the tribes of Israel.
The city had twelve foundations, one each for the apostles of Jesus.
The city was square and made of pure gold.
There were precious stones all around.
John saw no temple in the city.
There was no need for a sun or moon because the glory of God illuminated it.
The gates will stay open for there will be no night.
Revelation 22
John was showed a pure river of water coming from the throne of God.
The tree of life was on either side bearing fruit every month.
Jesus is coming quickly.
“Blessed are those who do His commandments, that they may have the right to the tree of life, and may enter through the gates into the city.”
Do not add to or take away from the word of God.
If you add, you will get the plagues that were spoken of before.
If you take away, your name will be removed from the Book of Life.
Jesus is coming quickly.
The Game Plan. I will be reading through the Bible through this year of 2011; little by little, chapter by chapter. I have always wanted to do this but have never committed to do so. This is me making a commitment.

James
James 1
“The testing of your faith produces patience.”
“If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach.”
Riches will fade away.
“Blessed is the man who endures temptation.”
God does not tempt man with sin.
Sin leads to death.
“Let every man be swift to hear, slow to speak, slow to wrath.”
We are to be doer of the word, and not hearers only.
James 2
Watch out for favoritism.
If a rich man enters your church and so does a poor man in filthy clothes.
Treat them equally sharing Jesus with them.
God has chosen the poor of the world to be rich in faith and heirs of the kingdom.
“Mercy triumphs over judgment.”
"Faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”
James 3
“But no man can tame the tongue. It is an unruly evil, full of deadly poison.”
James 4
Pride leads to trouble.
“Humble yourselves in the sight of the Lord and He will lift you up.”
Do not judge your brother.
Do not boast about tomorrow; only the Lord knows tomorrow.
James 5
Be patient.
If you are suffering pray.
If you are cheerful, sing.
If you are sick, have the church elders pray over you and anoint you with oil.
“The effective, fervent prayer a righteous man avails much.”
Bring back the one who wanders.
