Luke 14-16

Luke 14
Jesus heals a man on the Sabbath.
Take the lowly place.
Jesus gives the parable of the great supper.
Leave all and follow Christ.
Tasteless salt is worthless.

Luke 15
Jesus gives the parable of the lost sheep.
Jesus gives the parable of the lost coin.
Jesus gives the parable of the lost son.

Luke 16
Jesus gives the parable of the unjust stewart.
“You cannot serve God and mammon.”
The rich man and Lazarus die.
The rich man is in hell and Lazarus is with God.
The rich man asks that Lazarus give him some water.
The rich man even though in hell still thinks he is better than Lazarus.
The rich man ask God to let him go back and warn his brothers.
God said they have Moses and the prophets.
If they do not hear them, someone from the dead will not persuade them.
