The Game Plan. I will be reading through the Bible through this year of 2011; little by little, chapter by chapter. I have always wanted to do this but have never committed to do so. This is me making a commitment.

Matthew 13-14

Matthew 13
Jesus gives the parable of the sower.
“He who has ears to hear, let him hear!”
Jesus tells us why He teaches in parables.
Parables make it easier for those who want to learn to learn and more difficult for those who do not try to learn.
The parable of the sower is explained.
Jesus gives the parable of the wheat and tares, the mustard seed, and leaven.
Jesus fulfills another prophesy of speaking in parables.
The parable of the tares is explained.
Jesus gives the parable of the hidden treasure, the pearl of great price, and the dragnet.
Jesus returns to Nazareth and is rejected.
He doesn’t do many good works there because they do not believe.

Matthew 14
John the Baptist is beheaded.
Jesus feeds the five thousand.
Jesus and Peter walk on the water during the storm.
Jesus went to Gennesaret and the people there brought their sick to Him and He healed them.
