Obadiah-Jonah

Obadiah
There is a coming judgment on Edom.
Edom mistreated Judah.

Jonah 1
The Lord tells Jonah to go to Nineveh and cry out against them.
Jonah does not want to and gets on a ship to Tarshish.
The Lord causes a great storm to happen.
Jonah knows the storm is because of him so he tells the others of the boat to thrown him overboard.

Jonah 2
The Lord has a great fish wallow Jonah.
Jonah was inside the fish for 3 days and nights.
Jonah prayed to the Lord for deliverance and received it.
The fish spit him up on dry land.

Jonah 3
Jonah is told by God to go to Nineveh and speak the word that the Lord gives him.
“Yet forty days, and Nineveh shall be overthrown!”
Jonah speaks to the Nineveh and the people turn from their evil ways.
The King hears of this and commands all his people to turn from their evil ways.
God relented His destruction on them.

Jonah 4
Jonah was angry that Nineveh was saved.
The Lord shows Jonah through the growth of a plant to give him shade that he should not be angry.
