Luke 2-3

Luke 2
Caesar Augustus orders a census be taken.
Joseph and Mary, who was pregnant, traveled back to Bethlehem, because Joseph was of the lineage of David.
Mary has her baby in a manger because there was no room in the inn.
An Angel appears to some shepherds telling them that a Savior is born.
The shepherds go and find the Baby and told many about Him.
The shepherds returned after telling many and worshiped and praised God.
After eight days, the Child was circumcised and named Jesus, as the Angel instructed.
Jesus is presented in the temple.
Simeon was told by the Holy Spirit that he will not die until he has seen the Lord’s Christ.
Jesus is presented to Simeon and he blesses Him.
Anna, a prophetess, speaks of the Lord to many.
After all the customs of the law were completed, Joseph, Mary, and Jesus returned to Nazareth in Galilee.
Every year they go to Jerusalem for the Feast of the Passover.
When they departed, Jesus stayed behind talking with the teachers of the temple, without His parents knowledge.
Jesus returns home with His family and he increases in wisdom and stature with God and men.

Luke 3
John the Baptist prepared the way for Jesus.
John the Baptist preaches to many when they ask what they should do.
Herod locks John in prison.
John baptizes Jesus and the Holy Spirt descends upon Jesus in the form of a dove.
Jesus begins His ministry at thirty years of age.
The genealogy of Jesus is given.
