Luke 23
Jesus is handed over the Pontius Pilate, which he finds no fault in Jesus
Pilate sends Jesus to Herod and Herod sends him back.
Pilate and Herod become friends.
Jesus takes the place of Barabbas as per the request of the people.
Simon carries Jesus’s cross.
Jesus is mocked and beaten and put on the cross.
Many mock Jesus for not saving himself.
One criminal asks the Lord to remember him when Jesus goes to His kingdom.
Jesus tells Him, “today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Jesus dies on the cross.
Joseph requests Jesus body and buries Him.

Luke 24
The women go to Jesus’s tomb and find it empty.
The women return and tell the disciples but they do not believe.
Peter goes to the tomb and finds it empty.
Jesus joins two men walking and talking on the road to Emmaus.
They do not realize it is Jesus.
Jesus goes with them to eat.
Jesus breaks the bread and blesses it.
The men immediately realize that the man is Jesus.
Jesus then disappears.
The men go to the disciples and tell them what happened.
Jesus appears to the disciples.
Jesus gives understanding to the disciples about scripture.
Jesus blesses the disciples and ascends into heaven.
