Acts 11-13

Acts 11
Peter is questioned about being and eating with the Gentiles.
Peter explains the story and they glorify God and realize that God granted the Gentiles repentance of life too.
Barnabas and Saul go to Antioch for a year to teach.
The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
A famine occurred in Judea and the disciples sent relief.

Acts 12
Herod kills James, the brother of John.
Herod imprisoned Peter.
Peter is freed from prison by and angel.
Herod was killed by an angel.

Acts 13
The Holy Spirit chooses Barnabas and Saul for a work.
The Spirit leads Barnabas and Saul, who is called Paul, to Salamis to preach to the Jews in the synagogue.
There was a sorcerer named Bar-Jesus and he tried to stop the proconsul from believing in the Lord.
Paul makes the sorcerer blind and many believe and come to know the Lord.
Paul preaches at Antioch.
Paul and Barnabas are asked to speak twice and do so in Antioch.
The Jews are angry at what they are teaching.
Paul says because the Jews reject Jesus, the Gentiles shall hear.
The Gentiles hear this and rejoice.
The Jews were still angry and kicked them out of the region.
Paul and Barnabas got to Iconium and are filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.
