1 Corinthians 1-4

1 Corinthians 1
Paul greets the church at Corinth.
Paul warns about sectarianism.
They are followers of Christ, not one of His apostles sent to preach.
God is to receive the glory, not man.

1 Corinthians 2
Paul instructs to put their faith in the power of God, not in the wisdom of man.
We need spiritual wisdom which comes from the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3
Paul reminds them they are young in Christ and often think carnally.
Paul is a planter, Apollos water, but God gives the increase.
All things come from Him and through Him.
Paul warns of worldly wisdom.

1 Corinthians 4
Be faithful steward of God.
Paul is a fool for Jesus Christ.
Paul implores the people of Corinth to imitate him in the Lord.
Paul has sent Timothy to remind them of the things of the Lord which Paul has spoken to them.
Paul hopes that he will visit soon.
