John 16-18

John 16 Jesus warns of the coming rejection. Jesus says the Helper is coming. If He doesn't leave, the Helper will not come. Jesus tells His disciples that he will be leaving them for a little but will be back. Jesus says there sorrow will turn to joy. Jesus says,"Ask, and you will receive." John 17 Jesus prays to God asking Him to use Himself for God's glory. Jesus prays for His disciples. Jesus prays for all believers. John 18 Jesus is betrayed and arrested in the garden. Peter denies Jesus once. Jesus is questioned by the High Priest. Peter denies Jesus two more times and a rooster crows. Jesus is taken before Pilate. Pilate finds no fault in Him, yet the people insist that Barabbas be released and Jesus take his place.
