2 Corinthians 5
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.”
We have an assurance of the resurrection.
“Therefore if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.”
We have been reconciled to God through the work of Jesus Christ.
2 Corinthians 6
Paul calls the Corinthians to be holy.
“Do not be unequally yoked.”
2 Corinthians 7
Paul’s first letter hurt the Corinthians.
Paul’s intention was not to condemn.
Paul was glad the letter brought them to repentance though.
Paul is joyful over Titus.
2 Corinthians 8
Paul commends the work of the Corinthians in their faith, speech, knowledge, diligence, and love, but tells them to add giving to their list.
Christ is our pattern to work off of.
A collection is taken.
2 Corinthians 9
The gift is given.
“For God loves a cheerful giver.”
