The priesthood of Melchizedek and Jesus are compared.
Hebrews 8
There is a new priestly service and a new covenant.
Hebrews 9
The author speaks on the earthly sanctuary, the first tabernacle.
There were limitation on the earthly service in the tabernacle.
The high priest entered the holiest of all once a year.
Christ is the Mediator of the new covenant, by means of death.
The Mediator’s death was necessary to cover all sin, just as the sacrifices and blood cleansed the people.
Hebrews 10
The animal sacrifices are not sufficient to cover sins.
The death of Christ fulfills God’s will.
“Let us hold fast the confession of hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.”
The just shall live by faith.
