2 Kings 9-11

2 Kings 9
Elisha anoints Jehu king of Israel.
Jehu conspired against Joram, who is killed.
Ahaziah hears this and flees but Jehu has him followed and killed.
Jezebel pushed out a window and dies and is eaten by dogs.

2 Kings 10
Jehu had Ahab’s 70 sons killed by asking for their heads.
Jehu had Ahaziah’s 42 brother killed.
Jehu has the rest of the house of Ahab killed.
Jehu gathers all the Baal worshipers pretending to want to worship Baal, but kills them all, destroying Baal from Israel.
The Lord began to cut off parts of Israel and Hazael conquered them.
Jehu died and Jehoahaz, his son reigns.

2 Kings 11
Athaliah, Ahaziah’s mother, saw that her son was dead and tried to kill all the royal heirs.
Joash was hidden, for 6 years.
Joash came out of hiding and was crowned king at age 7.
Athaliah is killed.
