2 Kings 18
Hezekiah rules in Judah doing right in the eyes of the Lord.
Hezekiah removed the high places and destroyed idols.
Hezekiah rebelled against Assyria and broke away.
Later, Sennacherib, king of Assyria came and defeated Judah.
Hezekiah says he will pay a tribute, whatever Assyria wants.
Sennacherib boasts against the Lord how He delivered Israel into his hands.
2 Kings 19
Hezekiah goes crazy about what Sennacherib says.
Isaiah confort Hezekiah saying that the Lord will cause Sennacherib to leave and will die in his land by the sword.
Sennacherib say how he is dominant and how Israel will not be delivered.
Hezekiah prays to God asking Him to deliver them to show that He is God alone.
The Lord tells Hezekiah that He had heard him.
The Lord warns Sennacherib and says he will leave and will not enter Jerusalem because He will protect the city for David’s sake.
An Angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrian soldiers.
Sennacherib saw this and returned to his land.
Sennacherib is killed by two of his sons, who escape to Ararat.
Esarhaddon now reigns.
