2 Kings 15-17

2 Kings 15
Azariah becomes king of Judah at 16, rules for 52 years, and did right in the eyes of the Lord, except the high places remained.
The Lord gave Azariah leprosy and was isolated.
Jotham, his son, ruled in his place.
Zechariah did evil in the sight of the Lord and was killed by Shallum, who became king.
Shallum is killed by Menahem, who now rules.
Menahem ripped open women with child doing evil in the eyes of the Lord.
Menahem paid the king of Syria not to attack.
Meneham dies and Pekahiah, his son, rules and did evil in the eyes of the Lord.
Pekahiah is killed by Pekah.
Pekah reigns in Israel for 20 years doing evil.
Hoshea kills Pekah.
Jotham, son of Uzziah, is king of Judah doing right but not taking down the high places.
Jotham died and Ahaz, his son reigns,

2 Kings 16
Ahaz rules in Judah doing evil.
Ahaz sacrifices in the high places.
Ahaz gives the treasures from the house of the Lord to the king of Assyria to protect him from the king of Syria.

2 Kings 17
Hoshea ruled and did evil.
Hoshea payed tribute to Assyria.
The king of Assyria imprisons Hoshea for not paying tribute.
Assyria takes most of Israel captive, leaving Judah.
Assyria populates Israel’s cities with foreigners.
God sends lions that kill some.
They ask Assyria to send them a priest from Israel to teach them how to worship the Lord.
They learn to worship the Lord and do so.
The foreigners fear the Lord but also set of their own gods to worship.
