1 Samuel 21-24

1 Samuel 21
David goes to Nob and asks for bread and is given Holy Bread because there is no other and his men have not been with women for three days.
David asks for a weapon and the only one there is is Goliath's sword, which he takes.
David flees to Gath but realizes he is not safe, so pretends insanity and leaves.

1 Samuel 22
David goes to Adullam and 400 men gather to him and takes command over.
Gad, a prophet, warns David to leave and he does.
Saul finds out who gave David bread and Goliath's sword and kills him along 84 other priests.
Saul attacks the rest of Nob.
One son of the priest, Abiathar, who helped David escaped and told David what Saul did.
David says he will protect Abiathar.

1 Samuel 23
The city of Keilah is under attack by the Philistines.
David saves the city as the Lord told him to.
David and his men leave because the Lord told him that the people of Keilah will deliver them to Saul.
David hides in the wilderness.
Jonathan comes to meet David to encourage him in the Lord.
Jonathan says David is to be the next king of Israel and he will be there next to him.
Saul hears of David in the wilderness and pursues him.
David evades Saul, and Saul return because the Philistines are attacking.

1 Samuel 24
David has the chance to kill Saul but spares his life because he is the Lord's anointed.
