2 Kings 12-14

2 Kings 12
Johoash becomes king and repair damage to the Temple of the Lord.
Johoash did what was right in the eyes of the Lord, although he did not take down the high places.
Hazael conquers Gath and threatens to take Jerusalem so the leaders send Hazael the treasures that were in the house of the Lord.
Hazael turns away.
The rest of the acts if Joash, also called Johoash, are in Chronicles.
Joash is conspired against and killed by his servants.
Amaziah, his son, rules.

2 Kings 13
Jehoahaz becomes king of Israel, reigns 17 years, and did evil in the eyes of the Lord.\
The Lord delivers Israel into the hand of Hazael because they arouse his anger.
Jehoahaz pray to God and he listens and sends a deliverer.
Jehoahaz dies and Joash reigns.
Johoash reigns in Israel and does evil in the eyes of the Lord.
[These names are so confusing, plus the fact that Judah and Israel are separate and new kings are ruling so often.]
Joash dies and Jeroboam reigns over Israel.
Elisha is dying and tells Joash that he is to destroy Syria.
Elisha dies and is buried.
Someone is being buried and he is put in Elisha's tomb because they saw raiders.
When the body hit Elisha's bones, the man stood up and was revived.
Hazael oppreses Israel for many years.
The Lord has mercy on Israel for Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob's sake.
Hazael dies and Ben-Hadad rules.
Joash defeats Ben-Hadad 3 times reclaiming cities that were taken.

2 Kings 14
Amaziah rules over Judah and did right in the eyes of the Lord, but still did not take down the high places.
Amaziah kills the servants who killed his father, but did not kill their children.
The Law of Moses says fathers should not be killed for their children nor vice versa.
Each person shall be put to death for their own sins.
Amaziah kills 10,000 Edomites and challenges the king of Israel to fight.
Jehoahaz warns Amaziah not to fight him but does not listen.
Israel defeats Judah capturing Amaziah.
Amaziah is killed and Azariah, his son rules.
Jeroboam [II] rules and did evil in the sight of the Lord.
Jeroboam [II] dies and Zezhariah, his son, rules over Israel.
