Judges 6-7

Judges 6
Israel does evil in the sight of the Lord.
The Midianites rule over Israel for 7 years.
The Midianites destroy all of Israel's food.
They cry out to the Lord.
The Lord sends a prophet.
An Angel of the Lord comes to Gideon.
The Lord says he will save Israel.
Gideon does not think he is able.
The Lord says He will be with Gideon.
Gideon asks for a sign.
An Angel of the Lord makes fire from a rock and consumes the meat and unleavened bread that were on it.
The Lord tells Gideon to tear down the altar of Baal and chop down the wooden image beside it and build an altar to the Lord.
Gideon is to sacrifice a bull to the Lord using the wood from the image he chopped down.
The people find out that Gideon destroyed the altars.
Gideon gathered people to him from Manasseh, Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali.
Gideon asks the Lord for two signs using a fleece and both times the Lord does as Gideon asked.

Judges 7
The Lord tells Gideon he gather too many people.
The Lord say that Israel may think that they defeated the Midianites, not God.
Gideon asked who was fearful and said they could leave. 22,00 left.
The Lord said there were still too many.
The Lord tested the men by how they drank water.
300 men remained and the Lord said he will deliver the Midianites into their hands.
Gideon divided the 300 into 3 and attacked the Midian camp.
The Midian army fled.
More of Israel pursued the Midianites.
They killed Oreb and Zeeb, princes of Midian.
