The Game Plan. I will be reading through the Bible through this year of 2011; little by little, chapter by chapter. I have always wanted to do this but have never committed to do so. This is me making a commitment.

Judges 19-21

Judges 19
A Levite from the mountains of Ephraim takes a concubine.
The concubine left the Levite and returned to her home in Bethlehem.
The Levite goes to get her but her father delays him several days.
The Levite finally leaves and stops in Gibeah, a city of Benjamin.
No one will give the Levite shelter.
A man who is from Ephraim gives them shelter.
During the night preverted men come to do things to the foreigner.
The Levite gives his concubine to them.
They have their way with her all night.
The concubine dies trying to get back to the Levite.
The Levite divided the concubine into 12 pieces and sent them throughout Israel.

Judges 20
The tribes inquire what happened.
Israel prepares to fight Benjamin.
The Lord says that Judah is to attack first.
Benjamin kills many.
Israel tries again with no success.
Israel cries to the Lord asking if they should attack a third time.
The Lord says yes, He will deliver Benjamin into the hands of Israel.

Judges 21
The men of Israel swear an oath to not take a daughter of Benjamin as a wife.
The wives of those lost from Benjamin were provided for.
"In those days, there was no king in Israel; everyone did what was right in their own eyes."
