Judges 3-5

Judges 3
Some nations remained that were to be conquered.
The Lord left certain nations unconquered so that he may test Israel.
Israel did evil and forgot the Lord.
The Lord gave them to a king of Mesopotamia for 8 years.
The children of Israel cried out to the Lord and He raised up Othniel to judge Israel.
They went to war with Othniel and the Lord delivered them.
Israel sinned again.
The Lord strengthened Eglon, a Moab king.
Israel served Eglon for 18 years.
Israel cried out to the Lord.
The Lord a deliverer, Ehud.
Ehud killed the king and led Israel to victory over Moab.
10,000 men of Moab were killed.
The land had rest for 80 years.
Shagmar killed 600 Philistine men.

Judges 4
When Ehud died, Israel sinned again and Jabin king of Canaan ruled over them.
They cried out to the Lord.
Deborah was judging the people eat this time.
She tells Naphtali and Zebulun to gather troops.
They ask if she will go with them.
Deborah does and they attack.
Deborah says Sisera willbe delivered by the hand of a women.
Sisera the commander of Jabin's army hides in Jael's tent.
Sisera asks for refuge.
Jael kills Sisera when he sleeps and tells the Israelites that she has him.
Deborah's prophesy comes true.
God subdued Jabin, the king, and the people grew stronger until they destroyed him.

Judges 5
The song of Deborah is given.
It is a song of victory over the Canaanites.
