1 Corinthians 5
Immorality defiles the church.
Immorality must and will be judged.
Paul warns the people to stay away from sexually immoral people.

1 Corinthians 6
Do not sue your brother.
“For you were bought with a price.”
We are to glorify God in body and spirit because they are both His.

1 Corinthians 7
Paul discusses marriage and tells the people to keep their marriage vows.
Paul speaks to the unmarried and widows.

1 Corinthians 8
Be sensitive and conscious of other and their causes of stumbling.

1 Corinthians 1-4

1 Corinthians 1
Paul greets the church at Corinth.
Paul warns about sectarianism.
They are followers of Christ, not one of His apostles sent to preach.
God is to receive the glory, not man.

1 Corinthians 2
Paul instructs to put their faith in the power of God, not in the wisdom of man.
We need spiritual wisdom which comes from the Holy Spirit.

1 Corinthians 3
Paul reminds them they are young in Christ and often think carnally.
Paul is a planter, Apollos water, but God gives the increase.
All things come from Him and through Him.
Paul warns of worldly wisdom.

1 Corinthians 4
Be faithful steward of God.
Paul is a fool for Jesus Christ.
Paul implores the people of Corinth to imitate him in the Lord.
Paul has sent Timothy to remind them of the things of the Lord which Paul has spoken to them.
Paul hopes that he will visit soon.

Romans 14-16

Romans 14
Let us not judge one another.
“For the Kingdom of God is not eating and drinking, but righteousness and peace and joy in the Holy Spirit.”

Romans 15
We are to bear each others burdens so we can edify each other.
We are to glorify God, Gentiles and Jews together.
Paul plans to visit Rome on his way to Spain after he ministers in Jerusalem.

Romans 16
Paul commends Phoebe for the good work she does and instructs the Romans to help her in her work.
Paul sends many greetings.
Paul urges the people to be watchful for those who cause trouble and division.
Tertius says hello to the Romans.

Romans 11-13

Romans 11
There are some in Israel who did not reject.
Irael's rejecton is not final.
The Gentiles were grafted in.
Some of Israel were cut off.
The Gentiles can be cut off and the Israelites can be grafted back in just as easily.

Romans 12
"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
"Let love be without hypocrisy. Abhor what is evil. Cling to what is good."

Romans 13
Paul says to submit to government.
"Love your neighbor as yourself."
"Put on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make no provision for the flesh, to fulfill its lusts."

Romans 8-10

Romans 8
"For to be carnally minded is death, but to be spiritually minded is life and peace."
"And we know that all thing work together for good to those who love God, to those who are called according to His purpose."
"If God is with us, who can be against us?"

Romans 9
Israel rejects Christ, but God has a purpose.

Romans 10
Paul says Israel needs the Gospel, yet they reject it.

Romans 4
Abraham was justifies through faith.
Abraham was justified before circumcision.
Ww have a promised granted to is through faith.

Romans 5
Faith will win in trouble.
“But God demonstrates His own love towards us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ dies for us.”
We dies in Adam, but have life in Christ.

Romans 6
We need to be dead to sin, and alive to God.
We are not under law, but under grace.
“For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Jesus Christ our Lord.”

Romans 7
We are freed from the law.
The law cannot save you from sin.

Romans 1
Paul sends his greeting.
Paul tells of his desire to preach to those in Rome.
“The just shall live by faith.”
God has an unspeakable wrath against unrighteousness.

Romans 2
God’s judgement is righteous.
The Jews are guilty of breaking the law just as the Gentiles are.
Circumcision is from the heart.

Romans 3
God’s judgement is just.
“For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
“…a man is justified by faith apart from the deeds of the Law.”
God is the God of the Jews and the Gentiles.

Acts 27-28

Acts 27
Paul begins his journey to Rome.
Paul warned those leading that this storm will lead to disaster.
No one listens to Paul and they continue on.
The ship is in a big storm.
An Angel of the Lord visited Paul and told him they will be saved, but not the ship.
There were 276 people on the ship.
They became shipwrecked on Malta.

Acts 28
Paul was ministered to by the natives generously.
Paul healed many and was given provisions upon leaving.
Paul arrives in Rome.
Paul speaks to many about Jesus and the Law of Moses.
Many come to believe, other do not.

Acts 24-26

Acts 24
The accusations against Paul are brought before Felix.
Paul speaks for his own defense.
Felix procrastinates and is eventually succeeded by Porcius Festus.
Felix left Paul bound as a favor for the Jews.

Acts 25
Paul gets no where with Festus and appeals to Caesar.
Paul goes before King Agrippa.

Acts 25
Paul accounts his early life of persecuting Christians, his conversion, and his life preaching after his conversion to Agrippa.
Paul says that he know that Paul speaks the truth concerning Jesus.
Agrippa says that Paul almost persuades him to become a Christian.
Agrippa says that Paul might have been set free if he had not appealed to Caesar.

Acts 21-23

Acts 21
Paul is warned not to go the Jerusalem.
Paul will not hear it saying that he is ready to be bound and killed for the name of Jesus Christ.
Paul is arrested in the temple because the Jews from Asia stirred up the crowd against him.

Acts 22
Paul speaks to the people before he is taken away, giving his testimony.
Paul tells the guards he was born a Roman citizen.
The guards are fearful.

Acts 23
Paul is brought before the Sanhedrin.
Pauls speaks and the Sadducees and Pharisees are divided.
The Pharisees want to let Paul go.
There is a plot to kill Paul.
Paul’s sister’s son hears this and informs Paul.
Paul is sent to Felix under great supervision so as to not be killed by the Jews who plotted against him.

Acts 18-20

Acts 18 Priscilla and Aquila come to Corinth and meet Paul. Aquila was a tent maker. Paul is brought to the judgement seat. He is about to speak when Gallio speaks a d convinces the people that Paul is innocent. The people then beat the judge. Paul returns to Antioch, leaving Priscilla and Aquila in Ephesus. Apollos has a great ministry. Acts 19 Paul preaches at Ephasus and lays hands on some and they received the Holy Spirit. Paul works unusual miracles glorifying the Jesus. The demons knew who Jesus and Paul were. There is a riot at Ephasus. Acts 20 Paul travels to Greece and Macedonia. Someone falls asleep and falls three stories and dies at Troas. Paul fell on him and embraced him. Paul goes to Miletus hoping th get to Jerusalem for the Day of Pentecost. Paul speaks the Ephesians elders, e coir aging them in the ways of the Lord.

Acts 16-17

Acts 16
Timothy joins Paul and Silas.
They try to preach in many places, but the Holy Spirit tells them not to preach there.
Paul has a vision and goes to preach in Macedonia.
Lydia, a seller of purple, is baptized.
Paul casts a demon out of a girl, who men used as a fortune teller.
The men were angry that they would no longer make money from her, so they get Paul and Silas imprisoned.
Paul ans Silas are beaten and thrown in prison.
The rulers says Paul can go, but Paul refuses to leave secretly.
Paul goes to Lydia’s house and then leaves.

Acts 17
Paul preaches at Thessalonica and many believe.
Jason is attacked for harboring the apostles.
The Jews caused all this trouble, provoking the people to attack.
The philosophers in Athens are curious about Jesus.
Paul preaches to them of the on true God.
Some listened and some followed.

Acts 14-15

Acts 14
The apostles were preaching at Iconium and the Jews were trying to stop the Gentiles from believing.
The conflict was going to turn violent and so fled.
They preach at Lystra and the people thought their gods had come to earth in human form.
They tried to convince them they were men preaching about a Savior but they would not be heard.
Paul is stoned and dragged and tossed out of the city and is thought to be dead.
The disciples gathered around Paul and he rose up and left.
They returned to the places they preached to to check on them and encourage them.

Acts 15
There is conflict over circumcision.
Now that Gentiles have been accepted by God, should they be circumcised as Moses commanded?
Many at Jerusalem struggle over this issue.
They agree that the Gentiles should not follow the Jewish law but still be cautious, abstaining from blood, sexual immorality, idols, etc.
Paul and Barnabas disagree over taking John Mark with them.
They cannot agree and go separate ways, Paul with Silas, and Barnabas with John Mark.

Acts 11-13

Acts 11
Peter is questioned about being and eating with the Gentiles.
Peter explains the story and they glorify God and realize that God granted the Gentiles repentance of life too.
Barnabas and Saul go to Antioch for a year to teach.
The disciples were first called Christians in Antioch.
A famine occurred in Judea and the disciples sent relief.

Acts 12
Herod kills James, the brother of John.
Herod imprisoned Peter.
Peter is freed from prison by and angel.
Herod was killed by an angel.

Acts 13
The Holy Spirit chooses Barnabas and Saul for a work.
The Spirit leads Barnabas and Saul, who is called Paul, to Salamis to preach to the Jews in the synagogue.
There was a sorcerer named Bar-Jesus and he tried to stop the proconsul from believing in the Lord.
Paul makes the sorcerer blind and many believe and come to know the Lord.
Paul preaches at Antioch.
Paul and Barnabas are asked to speak twice and do so in Antioch.
The Jews are angry at what they are teaching.
Paul says because the Jews reject Jesus, the Gentiles shall hear.
The Gentiles hear this and rejoice.
The Jews were still angry and kicked them out of the region.
Paul and Barnabas got to Iconium and are filled with joy and the Holy Spirit.

Acts 9-10

Acts 9
Saul is confronted by the Lord on the road to Damascus.
Saul is blind for three days after seeing the light.
Ananias is told by the Lord to go to Saul and give him his sight back.
Ananias does so and baptizes Saul.
Saul immediately preaches in the name of Jesus Christ.
Many are confused that Saul is preaching because he was just recently persecuting.
The Jews plotted to kill Saul but Saul was able to escape.
Saul goes to Jerusalem to joins the disciples, but they were afraid because they did not believe he had changed.
The disciples eventually believes after Barnabas gave witness.
Churches throughout Judea, Galilee, and Samaria had peace and were edified, walking in the fear of the Lord and in the comfort of the Holy Spirit.
Peter raised Dorcas from the dead and many believed.

Acts 10
Cornelius sends his men to Peter to find out what he is to do, all through a vision.
Peter has a vision of the Lord offering Peter food.
Peter says it is common and he has not eaten such food.
The voice spoke saying, “What God has cleansed you must not call common.”
Cornelius’s men arrive and Peter says he will go with them.
The next day they leave with some men from Joppa.
Peter meets Cornelius and preached to his family.
Peter says the Lord taught him that he should deem a man unclean.
Anyone who fears Him and works righteousness, is accepted by God.
While Peter was speaking, the Holy Spirit descended on the people there.
Many were astonished because the gift of the Holy Spirit was given to Gentiles.
Peter baptized all who were there for they had received the Holy Spirit.

Acts 7-8

Acts 7
Stephen speaks about Abraham and his call from the Lord. He speaks about the twelve patriarchs in Egypt and how God delivers Israel from Egypt through Moses. Israel rebels against God making idols and worshiping them. Stephen speaks of God's true tabernacle and how Israel resisted the Holy Spirit. Stephen is stoned to death.

Acts 8
Saul consented to the death of Stephen. Saul begins persecuting the church, throwing many into prison. Christ is preached is Samaria.
Simon, a sorcerer, believes in the Lord and follows Philip.
Peter and John come to Samaria and lay hands on them there so that they were filled with the Holy Spirit.
Simon offers money so that they lay hands on him so that he can give others the Holy Spirit.
Peter tells him the gift of God cannot be purchases.
Peter tells him to repent and pray that the Lord forgives him for his sin.
Philip finds an Ethiopian eunuch reading Isaiah.
The Ethiopian does not understand so Philip explains and preaches Jesus to him.
The Ethiopian asks to be baptizes.
When Philip does so, immediately the Spirit of the Lord took him away and the Ethiopian went on his way rejoicing.
Philip was found later preaching at Azotus and many others on his way to Caesarea.

Acts 4-6

Acts 4
About 5000 heard an believed what Peter said. The Sadducees heard Peter and John speaking of the resurrection of Jesus and has them arrested. Peter speaks to the Sanhedrin with the help of the Holy Spirit. Peter says that through the name of Jesus that man was made whole, the Man whom you crucified and rejected who has become the chief cornerstone. The Sanhedrin threaten Peter and John into not using Jesus's name. They refuse saying they are only speaki g what the see and hear. They are released be cause no fault is found and many of the people believed. Peter prays for boldness and the place where they prayed shook as the Holy Spirit filled them. Joseph sold his land an have the apostles the money.

Acts 5
Ananias and Saphira sold their land and kept a part of the money for themselves an gave the rest the apostles. Ananias brings the money to Peter and Peter asks why Ananias has lied to the Holy Spirit. Ananias breates his last breath immediates and is carried away and buried. Saphira arrives later not knowing what happened to Ananias and she lies to Peter and the Holy Spirit and also dies. The church is very fearful when they hear of these things. The church continues to grow under the leadership of Peter. The people bring the sick to Peter to have his shadow pass over them. Many of the apostle were imprisoned but an angel of the Lord came and opened the prison and sets them free to continue preaching. The apostles are questioned again about using Jesus's name. They respond that they should listen to God, not man. Gamaliel says leave the apostles alone. If they are from God, then they cannot be stopped. If they are not, then they will die off. The apostles are beaten and released. They rejoice over suffering for His name.

Acts 6
Seven are chosen to serve and the word of God spread. Even priests began to believe. Stephen, one of those chosen to serve, is accused by many of blasphemy.

Acts 1-3

Acts 1
Jesus promises the Holy Spirit. Jesus ascends to heaven. Te disciples and Mary pray in the upper room. Matthias is chosen to replace Judas.

Acts 2
The Holy Spirit descends upon the disciples with divided youngest of fire on each of their heads. The disciples begin speaking in other tongues through the Spirit. Many hear the disciples speaking and realize they are speaking about the Lord in many languages. Many foreigners hear their own language and are amazed. Peter preaches to the crowd. They believe the disciples are drunk. Peter says they are witnessing the fulfillment of scripture. He speaks to them of Joel and David, and their prophesies about God sending His Spirit. When the people hear this they are, "cut to the heart" and asked what they should do. Peter tells them to repent and to be baptized in the name of Jesus for the remission on sins. Then they will receive the Holy Spirit. Peter continued to speak and about 3000 souls were added to the kingdom.

Act 3
Peter heals a lame man at the gate in the name of Jesus Christ. Peter preaches to those who gather after he healed the man. Peter says to not give him credit but the Father of whom they killed, Jesus.

John 19-21

John 19
Jesus is mocked and whipped.
Pilate gives in to the people to have Jesus crucified.
The soldiers gamble for Jesus’s clothes.
Jesus says, “It is finished.”
Joseph of Arimathea requests Jesus’s body from Pilate and buries Him.

John 20
Mary Magdalene finds the tomb empty.
Mary Magdalene sees Jesus first.
Thomas does not believe that Jesus is alive.
He says he will not believe until he touches Jesus’s nail pierced hand and side.
Jesus says, “Blessed are you who have not seen and yet believed.”

John 21
A couple of disciples go fishing.
They then have breakfast with Jesus on the beach.
Jesus asks Peter three times if he loves Him.

John 16-18

John 16 Jesus warns of the coming rejection. Jesus says the Helper is coming. If He doesn't leave, the Helper will not come. Jesus tells His disciples that he will be leaving them for a little but will be back. Jesus says there sorrow will turn to joy. Jesus says,"Ask, and you will receive." John 17 Jesus prays to God asking Him to use Himself for God's glory. Jesus prays for His disciples. Jesus prays for all believers. John 18 Jesus is betrayed and arrested in the garden. Peter denies Jesus once. Jesus is questioned by the High Priest. Peter denies Jesus two more times and a rooster crows. Jesus is taken before Pilate. Pilate finds no fault in Him, yet the people insist that Barabbas be released and Jesus take his place.

John 13-15

John 13
Jesus washes the disciples’s feet.
Jesus identifies Judas as Hie betrayer.
[This is the second time it has been said that Satan enters Judas. Very interesting. I did not know this prior.]
Jesus gives a new commandment to love one another just as He loved us.
Jesus predicts Peter’s thrice denial.

John 14
“I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me.”
Jesus reveals the Father.
“If you asks anything in my name, I will do it.”
Jesus promises another helper.
The Holy Spirit will help remind them of the things of which Jesus told them.

John 15
Jesus is the true vine.
Jesus calls His disciples friends because they know the work of Jesus, unlike how a servant does not know what his master is doing.
Jesus warns that if they rejected Him, they will reject His disciples, but if they listened to Him, they will listen to the disciples.

John 11-12

John 11
Lazarus is sick and Mary and Martha ask Jesus to visit Lazarus.
Jesus waits two days and then begins traveling.
Jesus tells Martha her brother will rise again.
Jesus says, “I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he may die, he shall live.”
Jesus visits Lazarus’s grave and weeps.
Jesus raises Lazarus from the dead.
Some told the Pharisees of what Jesus did.
Jesus no longer walked openly among the Jews.
Jesus traveled in the wilderness and the country.
The Pharisees gave a command to seize Jesus if He was seen in Jerusalem during the Passover.

John 12
Mary took oil and anointed Jesus feet and wiped them with her hair.
Judas questions why the oil was not sold and the money given to the poor.
The Pharisees plot to kill Lazarus because many Jews heard what Jesus did for Lazarus.
Jesus enters Jerusalem.
Jesus predicts His death on the cross.
Walk in the Light.

John 9-10

John 9
Jesus heals the blind man.
The Pharisees excommunicate the former blind man.
Jesus hears of this and talks with the blind man.
The blind man believes in Jesus.

John 10
Jesus is the true shepherd.
The Shepherd knows His sheep.
The Pharisees try to stone Jesus again, but Jesus escaped there hand.
Jesus goes beyond the Jordan teach and many believe.

John 7-8

John 7
Jesus’s brothers do not believe in Him.
“Do not judge according to appearance, but judge with righteous judgement.”
The people wonder if Jesus is Christ.
The Holy Spirit is promised by Jesus.
The people still wonder who Jesus really is.
The authorities reject Jesus because they think Jesus is from Galilee and no prophet has come out of Galilee.

John 8
The Pharisee bring Jesus an adulteress.
They ask Him if it is right to stone her for that is what the Law of Moses says.
Jesus answers them and says, “He who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first.”
Everyone slowly leaves.
When it is the woman and Jesus, he tells her to go and sin no more.
“I am the light of the world. He who follows Me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life.”
Jesus defends Himself with the law of two witnesses, He himself and the Father.
Jesus predicts His departure.
Jesus speaks to the people of the Father, but they do not understand.
The truth shall make you free; free from sin.
Jesus tells them before Abraham, I AM.
The people took up stones to throw at Jesus, but Jesus hid himself.

John 5-6

John 5
Jesus heals a man at the pool.
The Pharisees resent Jesus for breaking the Sabbath.
Jesus tells them that if they do not honor Him, they do not honor the Father who sent him.
The Father has given the Son the power of life and judgement.
The people do not believe in Jesus, the Son.

John 6
Jesus feeds five thousand men with 5 loaves and 2 fishes.
Jesus walks on water to the disciples.
Many people follow Jesus because they were filled with food.
Jesus offers them food that they will no longer hunger.
Jesus teaches in His hometown and is not received well.
Some of Jesus’s teachings were difficult for the disciples to understand and so they were discouraged.
Judas is one who falls away.

John 3
Jesus speaks with Nicodemus about being born again.
“For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Hi shall not perish but have everlasting life."
“For God did not send His Son into the world to condemn the world, but that the world through Him might be saved.”
John the Baptist prepares the way for Christ and points many towards Him.

John 4
Jesus speaks to a Samaritan woman about water that will never thirst.
Jesus tells her that He is the Messiah of whom she is waiting for.
A harvest is coming.
Many Samaritans come to know and believe in Jesus.
Jesus goes to Galilee.
Jesus heals a nobleman’s son.

John 1
“In the beginning was the Word…”
“…And the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness did not overcome it.”
John the Baptist was sent to bear witness of the Light.
The Word becomes flesh.
John the Baptist is questioned why he is baptizing if he is not the Christ.
John tells them of one who is coming and that he only baptizes with water.
John meets Jesus and know that He is the Son of God.
Jesus calls His first disciples.
Jesus calls Philip and Nathanael.

John 2
Jesus turns water into wine at a wedding.
Jesus cleanses the temple of merchants and money changers.

Luke 23-24

Luke 23
Jesus is handed over the Pontius Pilate, which he finds no fault in Jesus
Pilate sends Jesus to Herod and Herod sends him back.
Pilate and Herod become friends.
Jesus takes the place of Barabbas as per the request of the people.
Simon carries Jesus’s cross.
Jesus is mocked and beaten and put on the cross.
Many mock Jesus for not saving himself.
One criminal asks the Lord to remember him when Jesus goes to His kingdom.
Jesus tells Him, “today you will be with Me in Paradise.”
Jesus dies on the cross.
Joseph requests Jesus body and buries Him.

Luke 24
The women go to Jesus’s tomb and find it empty.
The women return and tell the disciples but they do not believe.
Peter goes to the tomb and finds it empty.
Jesus joins two men walking and talking on the road to Emmaus.
They do not realize it is Jesus.
Jesus goes with them to eat.
Jesus breaks the bread and blesses it.
The men immediately realize that the man is Jesus.
Jesus then disappears.
The men go to the disciples and tell them what happened.
Jesus appears to the disciples.
Jesus gives understanding to the disciples about scripture.
Jesus blesses the disciples and ascends into heaven.

Jesus predicts the destruction of the temple.
Jesus speaks to the disciples of the end of times.
The Son of Man is coming.
Jesus gives the parable of the fig tree.

Satan enters Judas and tries to betray Jesus.
Jesus and His disciples prepare the Passover.
Jesus institutes the Lord’s Supper.
The disciples argue about greatness.
Jesus says He came to serve. Which is better?
Jesus predicts that Peter will deny him thrice before the rooster crows.
Jesus had sent out many with no provisions, yet they lacked nothing.
Jesus this time says prepare yourself.
Jesus prays in the garden and the disciples fall asleep.
Jesus is betrayed with a kiss from Judas in the garden.
A disciple strikes a servant of the high priest and cuts off his ear.
Jesus heals him and allows himself to be taken.
Peter denies Jesus thrice and weeps bitterly when he realized what he did.
Jesus is mocked and beaten while in custody.
Jesus faces the Sanhedrin.

Luke 19-20

Luke 19
Jesus calls Zacchaeus down from a tree and visits with him.
“…for the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.”
Jesus gives the parable of the minas.
Jesus enters Jerusalem on a never ridden donkey.
“Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!”
Jesus weeps over Jerusalem.
Jesus cleanses the temple.
The Pharisees and scribes plotted against Jesus but nothing came to fruition because the people were listening so closely.

Luke 20
Jesus’s authority is questioned.
Jesus gives the parable of the wicked vinedressers.
The Pharisees ask Jesus if it is lawful to pay taxes to Caesar.
The Sadducees ask Jesus about marriage in heaven.
Jesus answers that there is no marriage in heaven.
Jesus warns the people about the scribes.
