Ezra 8-10

Ezra 8
The people who returned with Ezra from Babylon are listed.
Servants are gathered for the Temple.
Ezra proposes a fast to ask for protection from God.
Ezra distributes silver and gold as freewill offerings to the Lord to be weighed in the Temple.
The people depart for Jerusalem and make it safely with the Lord’s protection.

Ezra 9
The people have been marrying pagans and Ezra finds out and tears his clothes.
Ezra prays to the Lord about the sins that are being committed.

Ezra 10
While Ezra was praying, people gathered to him and confessed that they took pagan wives.
They said they wanted to make a covenant with God to put away the wives and sons of the wives to follow the Lord.
Ezra gathers all the people to tell them to put away the pagan wives.
The names of those who put away their pagan wives are listed.
