Esther 1-5

Esther 1
Queen Vashti does not listen to the king and gets dethroned.
The king decrees that all wives will honor their husbands.

Esther 2
The King as virgins prepared for him to choose a new queen.
Esther is one of those virgins and is shown favor in her preparations.
When Esther goes before the king, he chooses her.
Mordecai has been guiding Esther.
Mordecai discovers a plot to harm the king.
Mordecai told Esther and she informed the king and handed the men.

Esther 3
Haman dislikes the Jews and plans to destroy them.

Esther 4
Mordecai asks Esther to help the Jews and stop what Haman is trying to do.
Esther agrees.

Esther 5
Esther throws a banquet and invites the king and Haman.
The King asks what Esther wants and says she will tell him and the next banquet she is having.
Haman dislikes Mordecai and plans to have him hung.
