The Game Plan. I will be reading through the Bible through this year of 2011; little by little, chapter by chapter. I have always wanted to do this but have never committed to do so. This is me making a commitment.

Ezekiel 16-17

Ezekiel 16
God loved Jerusalem.
God cleaned the blood and dirt that was on them.
He protected it, provided for it, clothed it and gave it jewelry.
Jerusalem trusted in their own beauty.
Jerusalem gave away the jewelry, the fine food, embroidered garments, and make high places and burned incense.
They did not remember all that the Lord had done for them, rescuing them from their own blood.
The Lord calls Jerusalem a harlot, never satisfied.
Jerusalem was a harlot with all who passed by.
The Lord was provoked to anger with Jerusalem’s harlotry so He stretched His hand against them for their harlotry.
Jerusalem’s lovers will abuse her and strip her clean, bare and naked.
The Lord says what Jerusalem did is worse than Sodom and Samaria.

Ezekiel 17
Ezekiel tells the people the Word of the Lord concerning an eagle and a vine.
Ezekiel explains the story of how we are to keep our promises unlike Zedekiah did with Nebuchadnezzar.
Zedekiah broke his promise to Nebuchadnezzar but the Lord said he broke the covenant with Him.
