Jeremiah 1-3

Jeremiah 1
Jeremiah is called by the Lord to be His prophet.
Jeremiah is skeptical of his ability but the Lord says that he should not fear because He will be there to deliver him.

Jeremiah 2
God remembers Israel, yet they will be judged.
God reminds Israel of what they have done in disobedience against the Lord.

Jeremiah 3
The Lord wants Israel to return even though they played the harlot.
The Lord pleads with us to return to Him even after we have left Him.
"Return you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings."
