Jeremiah 4-6

Jeremiah 4
The Lord tells the people an invasion is coming from the North.

Jeremiah 5
Israel sinned against the Lord.
God must punish them.
God’s judgment on the people is just.

Jeremiah 6
There will destruction from the North.

Jeremiah 1-3

Jeremiah 1
Jeremiah is called by the Lord to be His prophet.
Jeremiah is skeptical of his ability but the Lord says that he should not fear because He will be there to deliver him.

Jeremiah 2
God remembers Israel, yet they will be judged.
God reminds Israel of what they have done in disobedience against the Lord.

Jeremiah 3
The Lord wants Israel to return even though they played the harlot.
The Lord pleads with us to return to Him even after we have left Him.
"Return you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslidings."

Isaiah 64
A prayer of penitence.

Isaiah 65
The judgement of the Lord is righteous.
The will be a new creation.

Isaiah 66
We are to engage in true worship to God.
God vindicates Zion.
God reigns and He will judge with fury, anger, fire, and with indignation.

Isaiah 59
We are warned of being separated from God and not knowing peace.
There will come a Redeemer of Zion.

Isaiah 60
The Gentiles will bless Israel.
God receives glory from His people.

Isaiah 61
We have the Good News of Salvation.

Isaiah 62
ZIon is assured of its Salvation.

Isaiah 63
The Lord will judge and bring Salvation.
The mercy of the Lord is remembered.

Isaiah 54-58

Isaiah 54
God makes a covenant of peace.

Isaiah 55
God invites us to an abundant life. Accept it!
“So shall My word be that goes forth from My mouth; It shall not return to me void."

Isaiah 56
There is Salvation for the Gentiles.
The Lord will honor those who keep the Sabbath holy.

Isaiah 57
Israel falls to idols.
The Lord will heal the backslider.

Isaiah 58
The Lord delights in those who fast for His sake, the right reasons.

Isaiah 49-53

Isaiah 49
Jesus, the servant of the Lord, is the light to the Gentiles.
“All flesh shall know that I, the Lord, am your Savior.”

Isaiah 50
Jesus is the hope of Israel.

Isaiah 51
The Lord comforts Zion.
God removed his fury.

Isaiah 52
God redeems Israel.

Isaiah 53
Jesus will bear the sins of the world.

Isaiah 45
Cyrus was God's instrument.
"I am the Lord, and there is no other.

Isaiah 46
Idols are dead, however there is a living God.

Isaiah 47
Babylon is to be humiliated by God.
The Lord was angry with His people therefore allowing their capture.
The Lord said Babylon showed no mercy.

Isaiah 48
God refines Israel for His glory.
God had an ancient plan to redeem Israel.

Isaiah 42
The Lord puts His Spirit upon His servants.
"Sing to the Lord a new song."
The Lord promises help.
Israel is disobedient and is subjected to God's fury and anger.

Isaiah 43
Israel has a Redeemer.
Israel is pleaded with to follow the Lord.

Isaiah 44
There is no other God.
Idol are foolish.
Israel is not forgotten but remembered.
Judah will be restored.

Isaiah 36-41

Isaiah 36
Sennacharib boasts against the Lord.

Isaiah 37
King Hezekiah is enraged when he hears what Sennacharib says.
Isaiah assures Hezekiah of deliverance by the Lord.
Sennacharib threatens Hezekiah and he prays to the Lord from deliverance.
The Lord speaks through Isaiah about Sennacharib and his future.
The Lord gives him a sign of when he will be no more.
An angel of the Lord killed 185,000 Assyrians.
Sennacharib fled and was killed by his sons.

Isaiah 38
Isaiah tells Hezekiah he will die soon.
Hezekiah prays to the Lord for more life.
The Lord speaks to Isaiah saying he will extend Hezekiah’s life by 15 years.

Isaiah 39
Hezekiah welcomes the Babylonians to his kingdom.
Isaiah warns that that was a mistake and tells that soon his kingdom will be taken away.

Isaiah 40
“The grass withers, the flowers fade, but the word of our God stands forever.”
God conforts His people.

Isaiah 41
God assures Israel that He is and will help them.
Idols are futile and for fools.

Isaiah 31
It is foolish to not trust in God.
God will deliver Jerusalem.

Isaiah 32
A king will reign in righteousness.
Do not be complacent.
There will be and is peace in God’s reign.

Isaiah 33
There will be judgement on Zion.

Isaiah 34
There will be judgement on the nations.

Isaiah 35
There will be a future glory for Zion.
I cannot wait to walk on the Highway of Holiness.
“Whoever walks the road, although a fool, shall never go astray."

Isaiah 28
Ephraim and Jerusalem are in trouble.
They do not listen when the Lord speaks to them.
Listen to what the Lord teaches you.

Isaiah 29
Jerusalem will face hard times.
Be obedient.
There will be recovery of lost wisdom.

Isaiah 30
Do not put your confidence in Egypt. It is futile.
We are a rebellious people. When will we learn?
The Lord is waiting to be gracious and merciful to us which will exalt Him.
The Lord judges Assyria.

Tyre will be forgotten for 70 years but will be brought back, which will bring glory to the Lord.

The Lord will destroy the earth.

“O Lord, You are my God.”
Praise the Lord.

Isaiah 26
A song of Salvation.
The people are warned to take refuge for judgment is coming.

Isaiah 27
Israel will be restored.

Proclamation against Egypt.
Egypt, Assyria, and Israel are to be blessed.

The sign against Egypt and Ethiopia.

Isaiah 21
The fall of Babylon is proclaimed.
Proclamation against Edom.
Proclamation against Arabia.

Isaiah 22
Proclamation against Jerusalem.
Judgement of Shebna.

Isaiah 13-17

Isaiah 13
Isaiah makes a proclomation about the destruction of Babylon.
He says Babylon will be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

Isaiah 14
The Lord will have mercy on Jacob.
The fall of the Babylonian king will come when the Lord gives him rest from his sorrow and fear.
The fall of Lucifer.
“'I will sweep it with the broom of destruction', says the Lord of hosts.” Babylon is destroyed.
The Lord of hosts has sworn the destruction of Assyria.
Philistia is destroyed.

Isaiah 15
Proclamation of the destruction of Moab.

Isaiah 16
Moab is destroyed.

Isaiah 17
Proclamation against Syria and Israel.
